📢 **IE DSA Special Meeting: 2028 Presidential Primary**

Join us IN PERSON (preferred) OR VIRTUALLY for a chapter-wide discussion on what we want to see from a potential 2028 presidential campaign and what role DSA should play in it.

We’ll break into small groups to discuss:

1. What type of campaign and candidate do we want to see in the 2028 election? What do we want their platform, rhetoric, and branding to look like?
   
   
2. How should DSA’s communications about a presidential campaign support our current campaigns such as down-ballot electoral races, labor organizing, anti-ICE work or Palestine organizing?
   
   
3. How can we use communications about a presidential candidate to grow DSA?
   
   
4. How could a presidential campaign impact a goal of party-building? Should our messaging bolster calls for a new party?
   
   
5. What are the risks of endorsing a Presidential candidate? What should we do when the candidate takes positions we disagree with?

**This is NOT an endorsement meeting.** We’re gathering member input to help shape IE DSA’s response to DSA National’s 2028 member input process.
